Weee'rrre Baaacck... August 31, 2007 Holy mackerel...lesson of the year when it comes to dealing with computers... back-up, Back-Up, BACK-UP! As many of you have noticed, the updates on here slowed to near nothing in the past few weeks...all thanks to the computer Gremlins that took over my notebook pc, and wrecked havoc with my hard drive. Long story short, my trusty Dell bit the dust for good and I'm now running with a new notebook. The absolute toughest part of this whole ordeal has been trying to recover information lost to the crash. Though I have not been able to completely recover all the files lost during the mayhem, I have been able to assemble (mostly through content found online) quite a bit of the long lost info. I can most assuredly tell you that any and all membership information that was involved with the crashed computer is completely safe. The family and I had a PC BBQ last night...I felt it was only right to give the notebook a funeral by fire. CALL FOR HELP... Due to the recent loss, if you have had any unanswered emails recently (from me or ILBBQS) please re-send them for immediate response. If you had signed up to Judge, or know someone who signed up to judge, the Southern Illinois Bluegrass & BBQ Festival next weekend, and have not heard back from me (since I organize that contest and that information was on the computer too), please contact me ASAP...we have 42 teams from 7 states coming in and will need all the CBJ's we can get for the contest! I REALLY appreciate all your help in getting things back to normal (whatever normal is) in this crazy BBQ world!
